Replaced logs, painted the fire box, and all the rocks and embers. Fair price, excellent installation, Trevor was respectful of our home and cleanliness. Would recommend them to anyone.

A previous company came out for a cleaning and inspection and told me my fireplace was not safe for use, could not get the cap off the chimney, and said they would have to take my brick fireplace apart to get to the damage they stated existed. The service tech took 1 picture and suggested I go to their showroom and speak with a sales rep. I did that and without ever coming back out to measure or check on anything they quoted my about $6,000 to install a vent free insert.

I called Larry Bostic to get a second opinion on my options for getting my fireplace in working order, and am I glad I did.

Larry came out inspected the fireplace and stated there was no damage making the fireplace unsafe for use. He came out with his service tech a second time to get on the roof and inspect the chimney, and although there was some difficulty with the way the screws were angled, they got the cap off with not a lot of effort.

Larry explained everything he was doing and saw while examining the fireplace and chimney. He provided opinions and options. In the end he painted the existing fireplace box and installed a new vent free fireplace appliance (burner and associated log set). My wife and I are extatically happy with the look and results of the work suggested and completed. And best of all the cost was about 1/3 of what the previous company quoted. Larry’s work ethic and integrity have made me a lifetime customer.

I had Chicago fireplace Inc. restore my 70’s red brick fireplace with stacked stone, a self-vented log set and a new hearth. I chose stacked stone and Larry suggested that I trim the fireplace opening with limestone. I took his advise and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. It totally transformed the room. The workers were on time, courteous, very good craftsmen and they cleaned up after themselves. I’ve had many contractors over the years with varying degrees of satisfaction. I would use this company again. They are very good at troubleshooting your special needs. They were able to address any issue I had.
